For Drivers, Restaurants & Riders

OMG Rides & Bites serves New Zealand with ride booking, airport transfers, school transport, Flex rides, and Bites food delivery. Here is the information you need whether you drive, run a restaurant, or use our app as a rider.

For Drivers

Drive with OMG and earn from airport transfers, school runs, Flex point-to-point rides, and Bites food delivery. All services operate in New Zealand. Drivers keep 100% of the fare—we do not take commission on your trips.

Services you can provide

  • Airport transfers — Pre-booked pickups and drop-offs to/from the airport.
  • School transport — Scheduled school runs for families.
  • Flex rides — On-demand or pre-booked point-to-point trips.
  • Bites delivery — Pick up orders from restaurants and deliver to riders.

Requirements

To go online and accept trips you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to drive in New Zealand.
  • Hold a valid New Zealand driver licence (full or appropriate class).
  • Have a P endorsement (passenger endorsement) where required for carrying passengers.
  • Have current vehicle insurance and a valid COF (Certificate of Fitness) for your passenger service vehicle where required.
  • Upload and maintain all required documents in the app (see below).
  • Have an active driver subscription (subscription plans are managed in the app).

Required documents

In Upload Documents, select whether you offer passenger rides, Bites delivery, or Both (Rides & Bites). You must upload and keep approved everything the app lists as required for your choice (typically licence front and back, insurance, COF, driver photo; P endorsement for passenger rides, not for Bites-only delivery unless you choose to add it).

All documents are reviewed by our team. You can only go online when every required document is approved and none are expired.

Getting started

  1. Sign up on the web or in the OMG app on Google Play or Apple App Store.
  2. Complete your profile and add your vehicle details (make, model, plate, COF expiry, etc.).
  3. Upload all required documents in the app.
  4. Subscribe to a driver plan (required to go online).
  5. Once your documents are approved and your subscription is active, you can go online and accept trips.

In the app you can manage your profile, documents, vehicle, earnings, subscription, and get help and support.

Earnings

For completed Airport and Flex trips, drivers receive the full quoted fare. Earnings are visible in the app. Pricing is shown before you accept a trip.

For Restaurants

List your restaurant on OMG Bites and reach customers who order food through the OMG app. We handle the platform, orders, and delivery by our drivers.

What you get

  • Your restaurant and menu visible to riders in the Bites section of the OMG app.
  • Orders sent to you; you prepare the food and hand it to our driver for delivery.
  • Subscription-based partnership—details and plans are available after your registration is approved.

How to join

  1. Use the OMG app as a rider — Restaurant registration is done from the Rider side of the app.
  2. Open the Bites section and find the option to Register your restaurant.
  3. Submit your restaurant name, contact name, phone, email, address, cuisine type, and any notes or proof of business if requested.
  4. Our team will review your registration and contact you. Once approved, you will get access to set up your menu and manage orders.

If you currently only have a driver account, switch to Rider mode in the app to access Bites and the restaurant registration form.

After approval

Approved restaurants can manage their profile, set up and edit their menu, view and fulfil orders, and use the restaurant subscription features as described in the app.

For Riders

Use the OMG app to book rides or order food across New Zealand. We offer airport transfers, Flex rides, school transport, and Bites food delivery.

Services you can use

  • Airport transfers — Book pickups or drop-offs to/from the airport. Choose your flight and we coordinate the timing.
  • Flex rides — Pre-book or request point-to-point trips. Pay per ride (including from your wallet where available).
  • School transport — Arrange recurring or one-off school runs for your family.
  • Bites — Browse restaurants, place food orders, and get delivery to your address. Track your order in the app.

Getting started

Download the OMG app on Google Play or Apple App Store, create an account (you must be at least 18 or have parental consent where applicable), and allow notifications and location when prompted so we can match you with drivers and show accurate pickup/delivery options.

Payments

  • Card — Pay with a card via our secure payment provider (e.g. Stripe). You can save a card for future trips and orders.
  • Wallet — Top up your in-app wallet and use it for rides (e.g. Flex) and Bites orders where available.
  • Fees and payment methods are shown at booking or checkout. Cancellation and refund rules are shown at the time of booking.

In the app

From the rider home you can choose Airport, Flex, School, or Bites. You can view your booking and ride history, track active trips and deliveries, manage your wallet and payment methods, and update your profile and settings. For Bites, you can also register your restaurant from the Bites section if you are a business owner.
